Careful planning, staged implementation

QNet can provide your organisation with tailor-made IT solutions to meet your specific requirements. We take an active role right from the start, ensuring that we have a clear understanding of your requirements, your core business processes, and the goals that you would like to achieve.

Planning

IT projects are planned meticulously right from the outset. The first step is to carry out a feasibility study to ensure that your requirements are viable and possible using the resources available. At this stage, it may become clear that another approach may be required or be more advantageous.

Framework

Next a framework is produced to map out all areas of the project, based on your requirements. A process map is designed, and all areas of functionality of the proposed solution are specified in detail to ensure that you have a full understanding of what the finished project will provide.

Development

Once the plan has been agreed with timescales and budgets, the development phase of the project begins. Depending on the precise nature of the project, it may be necessary to re-assess specific areas of the project after certain predefined milestones have been reached. This is to take account of any restrictions imposed by the technologies employed and of any final minor alterations to your requirements.

Testing

The testing phase of the project involves both QNet and your organisation. Once both parties have agreed that the project meets its original specifications and those of any mutually agreed amendments added during the development phase, the project is deemed as being ready for deployment.

Staged implementation

Some projects require a staged implementation to fit in with other ongoing changes in your organisation and to cause minimal interruption to your business activities.

Hand-over

The hand-over is the final stage of the project lifecycle. Once all deployment and roll-out procedures have been completed, the project is formally signed-off. At your choice, QNet can continue to play an active role after this, ranging from the provision of basic project-specific IT support, to complete ongoing management of your IT infrastructure.
